    Metabolism and Your Weight

    If you want to slim down the waist you will need to reduce your body fat. In order to reduce your body fat you need to first reduce your calorie intake. Your goal will be to consume less calories, in the form of food and drink, than your body actually requires, thus, creating a calorie deficit. One pound of fat is the equivalent of 3,500 calories. If you split this down over the week that’s 500 calories per day you need to be eating less of. Achieve this and you will loose one pound of fat per week.

    To loose more than one pound of fat per week, you can loose even more body fat by engaging in exercise. Examples include cardio such as running, biking, swimming, rowing, etc. You can also engage in resistance training which will help make the muscles stronger and firmer, and will also burn additional calories. Remember, the more lean muscle tissue you have on your body, the more calories you will burn on a daily basis, even at rest.

    Through a combination of diet and exercise you could expect to loose around 1-2 pounds per week.

    Cardio will burn body fat, strength training will tone the body. If you want to lose belly fat fast, 3 things need to happen:

    Cardio
    Strength training
    Increase in metobolism

    Cardio: Do about 30 minutes of moderate cardio every day. Moderate cardio is when you can keep up a conversation but have trouble doing it because you are out of breath. Intense cardio is when you are so out of breath you can’t even talk, low intensity cardio is when talking is easy and normal.

    Strength training: There are tons of things you can do. Here are some.
    Crunches, keep your stomach tight and do 2 sets of 20 reps.
    Lay flat on the ground and raise your legs about 1 foot of the floor, sqeeze your stomach as tight as possible for about 2 seconds and release for 2 seconds. Do 2 sets of 15 reps.
    For a slim waist. Buy a small basketball size exercise ball. About 10-15 pounds in weight. Hold the ball with both hands and bring them up in front of your face straight out like so,, now start twisting. Twist to the left hold for a second, twist to the right hold for a second. This works your sides and tones the waist line. Do 2 sets of 25 reps.

    Metabolism: Before you eat breakfast and after your last meal at night drink 12oz of freshly sqeezed lemon water. 1/4 cup of lemon 3/4 warm water. Now add 2 table spoons of real organic maple syrup. Then add about 3/10 Tsp of cayenne pepper. Stir. Drink this twice daily. It is a cleanse. It rids the body of toxins, clears your skin, brightens your eyes, gives you energy and boosts your metabolism.

    Follow these directions and I promise you in about 2-4 weeks you will see a big improvement.
